The Summer Academy of Sii Talents

You have no idea for the upcoming holidays? Do you like challenges? Would you like to verify your skills and show us what You can? Specially for You we have prepared the possibility for non-conventional spending of your holiday period!

The Summer Academy of Sii Talents is the programme of summer interest, which shall provide You with the possibility to get to know the specifics of IT industry and maybe open You the path for future professional career.

• The Aim of the Programme

First of all we would like to acquaint You with the realia of work within the company from the IT sector as well as to develop your technical skills. As the member of our practices you have the possibility to employ the aforementioned period time to obtain practical experience working with and from excellent specialists. Should You decide to try yourself out, you shall be given the opportunity to get the taste of responsibility connected to the project entrusted for your execution.

• Participants

The proposal is directed to all talented 3rd,  4th and 5th year students of IT or other similar faculties, as well as to their graduates with professional experience not longer than one year, who would like to undergo the summer adventure of his own IT projects. All you need to add is that the number of such practices have undertaken permanent employment with us. Maybe You will be the next one? All rests with You!

• The scope of tasks

Obtaining knowledge as part of the Summer Talent Academy is possible via the participation within the development and implementation of projects elaborated and implemented by our company. During the execution of professional practices you shall become the member of the team with the same rights and you shall be given the possibility to cope with challenges, which  occur within the process of every day work with IT projects. Remember about one thing! You do not substitute our employees who are currently on holidays, your job is not to make coffee (despite the fact that we possess an excellent coffee making machine) or photocopy documents – you are entrusted with an independent post and additionally You shall be guided by our specialist, to whom you shall be able to turn to with any problem You might have. Do not be afraid to take advantage of this knowledge and experience!!

For the period of three months (from July to September) you will be given the opportunity to participate within the commercial IT project and You shall receive adequate remuneration for your work. At the end you will become the member of the team. The best participants shall be offered a job within IT software or internal IT departments, thus providing the chance for the initiation of your own professional career. We count on You and on Your competences!

During the Sii Summer Talent Academy you will be able to encounter yourself what does work within a team stand for as well as execution of projects, meeting deadlines and being part of a great team, since it also constitutes a great chance to get to know the organisation of our culture as well as people who work for Sii.

Since we do not like boredom, it shall be also be time when You could have a lot of fun.

• You are a student, who finished at least 3rd year of his/her university education upon an IT oriented faculty or any similar, or if You are a graduate of the aforementioned faculties with the professional experience not longer than one year…
• You are interested in the execution of projects from the IT sector…
• You are ambitious and like challenges…

• You would like to check for yourself what does working for a nice company stand for, within a fun company with a great employment atmosphere!

Recruitment process

I. Documents selection

With the application of ongoing basis, between the period from the 31st May 2012, we shall analyze all of the submitted applications. Chosen candidates shall be contacted via phone or email.

II. Qualification interviews as well as a technical test

The further phase of the recruitment process shall be constituted by the qualification interview to be executed with chosen candidates. Upon positive verification You shall be invited to take a verification test. This phase shall last from the 1st until the 30th of June 2012.

III. Completion of the recruitment process

At the latest on the 30th June 2012 each one of the candidates shall be informed of the result of the qualification proceedings via telephone or an email. The information shall be also communicated also to those have not been fortunate enough to qualify.

Trainees’ opinions after The Summer Academy of Sii Talents

Ania Kopertowska

The Summer Academy of Sii Talents for me was not only the chance for new experience, but also a great adventure. It was a big surprise to see how well organized the Academy is in Sii. As early as on the first day of practices I have had a computer, the tutor and a business case to do. A huge plus is that the Summer Academy of Sii Talents gives a real chance to gain practical experience while working on real, ambitious projects. During three months I have learnt more than during four years of studies. But The Summer Academy of Sii Talents is not only work but interesting and nice team with whom you can spend a great time.

Grzegorz Dziarmaga

I am a student on 4th year of The Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at Warsaw University of Technology.I had my students summer trainee in Internal Projects Department of Sii in June and July 2011.I had read about it on Sii website. I had chosen this company because of its profile and its quick development. There was a chance to learn a lot. And it occurred it was true!
I’ve learnt who to cooperate in a team, who to use my knowledge in practice and who to learn more and to use my experiences. I am convinced that all those things will be very useful in my future career.
Apart from that the atmophere In my Sii team was very good, all were very kind and open to share their knowledge and experience.

Piotr Kałamucki

I am a student of The Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at WarsawUniversity of Technology. I decided to send my application for The Summer Academy of Sii Talents because I wanted to enhance my knowledge gained at school with practical experience. I’ve heard of this program during career days on my university.
I had my trainee in Internal Projects Department. I took part in creating a software based on innovative technologies like OSGI and SOA. It was very interesting to work on different stages of the project. I had a chance to observe i.a. summary meetings of every iteration. I also took part in few workshops for a whole team.
The Summer Academy of Sii Talents was a great chance to gain new practical knowlegde and to enhance some competences.  Moreover, I could work with cooperate with experienced IT specialists. I strongly recommend this Sii program to other students who are interested in IT career.


Rafał Malinowski

I started my adventure in Sii in June 2011 -  I took part in the Summer academy of Sii Talents on a position of Java developer in Internal Projects Department. The trainee offer seemed very interesting because of a subject: web services. Moreover, Sii gave a trainee salary for it!
Two things in Sii were the most impressive! Firstly, the atmosphere. Everybdy was very direct and kind, so after few days I felt perfectly like at my place. Secondly, I got a specific programming work to do from the very beginning.  Before I was worried that a role of trainee was rather painful and not interesting. Thanks to my more experienced colleges I gained much interested knowledge which is very practical first of all.
After three months of the Academy I got an offer to work in Sii. Currently I study and work in Sii as a part time employee. It isn’t very difficult because a company is flexible and I can choose a time suitable for me to work.
I strongly recommend to work in Sii!
